Turning Torso, Google Earth Model
May 28th, 2007
3D Model of the Turning Torso, a 190m Skyscraper in Malmö, Sweden. Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava the entire structure twists as it rises. The top of the building turned through 90 degrees clockwise with respect to the ground floor.
The bottom two blocks used as office space, the top seven are apartments, making this the tallest residential building in Western Europe
Modelled with SketchUp.

that looks realy good but how come it’s twisted?
Did somebody actually ask why it was twisted??!!!
I just returned from a trip to Sweden and I had the pleasure of seeing Turning Torso. Standing at the base and looking up makes you a bit dizzy! Like the TransAmerica building in San Francisco, Turning Torso will become the world-recognised icon for the city of Malmö.
It has a good looking, amazing too.
I think same tower will be build in Dubi. (!!)
