MI6 Building, Vauxhall Cross, London
Some buildings are just made for SketchUp modelling…
This Lego-like structure (one of it’s local nicknames is Legoland) designed by architect Terry Farrell, is the Headquarters of Britain’s overseas Secret intelligence service, MI6 - the place where James Bond meets ‘M’. Anyone who saw the movie ‘Die another day’ might remember the black speed boat smashing through the front before a chase along the River Thames
All sorts of rumours surround this building including talk of a tunnel under the Thames linking it to Whitehall 500m away. Maybe there’s some significance to choosing such a high profile design for an otherwise top secret organization ?
Ideally I’d like to photo-texture this sometime, but I’m not brave enough to hang around outside the building taking dozens of photographs.

Just a correction, the Bond film with the boat chase at the start outside MI6 HQ on the Thames River is ‘The World Is Not Enough’ not ‘Die Another Day’
in the second paragraph where it says that it was in die another day when the black spped boat crashed through the fornt of the building it wasn’t it was in the world is not enough when the banker gets blown up and he chases his assassin.
